   BG'S DOT 4 BRAKE FLUSH - $84.53

Why should I have my vehicle's brake system flushed?
The introduction of front wheel disc brakes was a major milestone in safe, reliable braking control for motor vehicles. However, the operation of disc brakes creates extremely high temperatures, which causes rapid oxidation of the brake fluid, which means the brake fluid will begin to boil at a lesser degree than the industry standard. The Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS) is super-sensitive to this fluid deterioration. Most manufacturers recommend flushing the brake system every 20-30,000 miles or every 2-3 years to help prevent premature wear of the many brake system components.

What is a BG’s Dot 4 Brake Flush?
We perform a visual inspection of the brakes for leaks or damage. Connect BG’s pressure brake bleeding equipment to the vehicle brake reservoir. Flush all oxidized and corrosive fluid and replace with BG's specially formulated dot 4 brake fluid which helps prevent premature corrosion. Your vehicle will then be road tested to assure reliable, safe operation of the brakes.

   BG'S POWER STEERING FLUSH - $82.99

Why should I have my vehicle’s power steering system flushed?
Fluid contamination is the number one cause of the premature wear in the power steering system. Oxidation by-products, hose material and metallic debris accumulate in the fluid. As the contaminated fluid is pumped through the system under very high pressure, it causes abrasive wear in the pump and the rack assembly. This leads to pump noise, erratic steering (especially when the system is cold) and eventual mechanical failure.

What is a BG’s Power Steering Flush?
We visually inspect the power steering system for leaks or damage. Add BG Quick Clean to the system to effectively remove accumulated residues. Flush entire system of old fluid and contaminants, refill with BG Power Clean Kit that provides anti-wear agents, seal conditioners and special anti-oxidants to extend the life of the new power steering fluid.

   COOLANT SERVICE - $92.47

How does the cooling system work?
The basic cooling system consists of liquid coolant being pumped by a mechanical water pump through the engine then to the radiator to be cooled by the air stream coming through the vehicles front grill. Once the fluid is cooled it returns to the engine to absorb more heat. It is the water pumps job to keep the fluid moving through this system of plumbing and hidden passages. The cooling system must maintain the engine at a constant temperature whether the outside temperature is 100 degrees Fahrenheit or 10 below zero. If the engine temperature is allowed to get too hot for too long the engine will self destruct. If the engine temperature is too low the vehicle will have poor fuel economy and the emissions will rise. The antifreeze must be able to handle temperatures in excess of 250 degrees Fahrenheit without boiling. Antifreeze contains a number of additives designed to prevent corrosion in the cooling system. Corrosion tends to accelerate when several different types of metal interact with each other, causing scale that builds up over time and begins to clog the thin flat tubes in the radiator and heater core causing the engine to overheat. The anti-corrosion chemicals in the antifreeze help to prevent this, but only have a limited life span. Most antifreeze should be drained and refilled every 2-3 years or 30,000 miles.

What happens when I have my radiator drained and refilled?
We pressure check the cooling system for leaks or damage. Inspect the radiator cap. Drain the radiator and refill with green antifreeze mixture.
(Dexcool coolant is an additional charge)

   FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH
   FACTORY ADJUSTMENTS - $65.00

What is a wheel alignment?
A wheel alignment consists of a series of interrelated adjustments that bring a vehicle’s steering, suspension and on road driving characteristics into the manufacturer’s specifications. Common symptoms that indicate a vehicle is out of alignment are: uneven tire tread wear, pulling to one side, wandering and an off-center steering wheel.

What is the purpose of an alignment?
Normal wear and road conditions can take their toll on a vehicle's steering and suspension systems, possibly throwing the alignment settings out of specifications. A proper alignment reduces tire wear, improves fuel economy and the vehicle's handling.

(This price is for most cars and light trucks. There is an additional fee for larger trucks and imports.)

FOUR WHEEL TIRE BALANCE - $45.73

Why should I have my tires rotated and balanced?
Tire pressure changes due to time and temperatures. Tires can lose about 1 PSI per month due to air escaping through the rubber as it stretches. Tire pressure can also fluctuate with changes in the outside air temperature, this occurs at a rate of about 1 PSI for every 10 degrees Fahrenheit (plus or minus). If you check your tire pressure every six months, it would not be uncommon to find them under inflated by as much as 6 PSI. Improperly inflated tires can cause irregular wear patterns, thus drastically shortening the life of your tires. To get the most wear out of your tires, they should be rotated and balanced every 6 months, or every other oil change.

What happens when I have my tires rotated and balanced?
We rotate and computer balance all four tires. Evaluate the condition of the tires and check the tire pressure. Check the steering, suspension and brake systems. We will road test the vehicle before and after tire rotation and balance to ensure customer satisfaction. (This price is for most cars and light trucks with 16” wheels or smaller)
